Look at what the big platforms used to do — they were the launchpads that brought us icons like Lil Uzi Vert, Post Malone, and Young Thug by giving raw, boundary pushing underground energy a place to surface and organically catch fire. But those same platforms have fundamentally broken. Today, they aren't nurturing culture anymore; they're trapping artists on a treadmill where you aren't just expected to make great music; you're expected to dance for algorithms, chase fleeting metrics, and hand over your masters and publishing rights to legacy gatekeepers who treat art like disposable content.
For underground artists, producers, and crate diggers, the current landscape feels less like a creative community and more like a corporate machine. We looked at that broken ecosystem, realized nobody was coming to fix it, and decided to build our own way out.
Where we come from
Tumble was born out of pure exhaustion with the status quo. We are artists, producers, and heads who spent years watching incredible, raw talent get buried under mountains of corporate noise and algorithmic clutter. We watched peers compromise their vision just to appease platforms that view them as data points.
We realized that the underground didn't need another watered down feature on a mainstream app. It needed a sovereign home. It needed an audio first space built exclusively for people who actually give a shit about the music.
